The Twelve Months
Your birth flower
Every month has a flower, and the tradition is older than any of us. In 1730 the Kensington nurseryman Robert Furber engraved twelve bouquets — one for each month, the month named in a wreath below — and Georgian buyers chose theirs by their birthday. People have been doing it ever since.
Pick a month. We’ll answer with its bloom, rendered from the finest public-domain plate we hold of it — and set a name and a date in the cartouche, if it’s a gift.

Printed to order on archival cotton-rag stock from a public-domain plate — the same plate you can zoom into on its own page.
A flower for each of them
A birth flower is one person. If you want the whole family — a bloom for every birthday, gathered into one arrangement — or a wedding bouquet recreated from the photograph, that’s the atelier bouquet. And every occasion we know how to answer is on the occasions page.
